[origin: WO8802271A1] The device absorbs vibrations which occur in the strings of a tennis racket in order to reduce the risks of articular damage to the players' elbow. It is comprised of an elastomer element (1) having an elongate shape and a small cross-section terminated by spherical protuberances (2) used to tie the element to the strings. The device is provided at its middle with a bulge (3) for centering transversely the device in the strings of the racket and having the function of stiffening the element while increasing locally its linear mass. The device is fixed in the strings by interlacing it by one turn on the bearing strings (4). The device according to the invention is intended for damping the vibratory modes of the strings of a tennis racket.

Le dispositif absorbe les vibrations qui siègent dans le cordage d'une raquette de tennis afin de diminuer les risques de lésion articulaire du coude des joueurs. Il est constitué d'un élément en élastomère de forme allongée et de faible section (1) terminé de proéminences (2) sphériques servant à le nouer au cordage, le dispositif est pourvu en son milieu d'un renflement (3) permettant de le centrer transversalement dans le tamis et ayant pour but de le raidir tout en augmentant localement sa masse linéique. Le maintien du dispositif dans le cordage s'effectue par enlacement d'un tour sur les cordes d'appui (4). Le dispositif selon l'invention est destiné à l'amortissement des modes vibratoires du tamis d'une raquette de tennis.
