Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0283567A2] The distance element (4) is intended to preserve the spacing (5) between a fluorescent lamp (3) inserted in light fixtures having tubular lamps and a lamp holder carrier (1.1). Instead of a commercially available lamp holder (2) with a lamp holder body (2.1) and lamp holder foot (2.2), the bridge-shaped distance element (4) is placed onto the plug-through opening (1.11) on the inside of the lamp holder carrier (1.1). In order to preserve the previously determined spacing (5), the glass bulb diameters, which vary depending on the type of fluorescent lamp, are adapted using the dimensioning of the height of the supporting limbs (4.1; 4.2). The edges (4.41; 4.51) of the spring tongues (4.4; 4.5) engage the lamp holder carrier (1.1) from below through the plug-through opening (1.11). When the distance element (4) is mounted, the lamp holder (2) is no longer pushed through the plug-through opening (1.11) but is pushed from the web (4.3) through the plug-through opening of the distance element (4) until the spring elements (2.21) lock. At the same time, the centring cam (2.22) engages in the centring hole (4.32) and centres the lamp holder (2) in the process. <IMAGE>
