[origin: EP0283597A2] A clamp arrangement, for example for a press, has a clamping lever (44) that is shiftable and extended and a retracted position and rotatable between a clamping position and a released position. In the retracted position, the clamping lever (44) is adapted to permit generally vertical movement of a member to be clamped (16, 18) . Means are provided for actuating all clamps (22a-d) from the front of the member to be clamped. The clamps at the front and/or the rear of the member are arranged to be pivoted from an operative position downwardly to an out-of-the-way position below the top face of the member (16, 18).
