[origin: US4842150A] An apparatus for a crane or the like to stabilize a load carried thereby. A first guide mechanism can be disposed on the carriage of the crane. This guide mechanism has guide cables that can be wound on cable drums, and that diverge to form an approximately pyramid shape. A second guide mechanism can also be provided. This guide mechanism has two diverging hydraulic cylinders and a horizontal girder that together form the shape of a triangle.

Die Vorrichtung soll ohne besonderen Aufwand an einen vorhandenen Kran anbringbar sein und einen weitgehend beruhigten Lastentransport gewährleisten. Dies kann zum einen durch eine an der Krankatze (1) befestigbare Führungseinrichtung (4) erreicht werden, die mit auseinanderstrebenden, auf Seiltrommeln (7,8) aufwickelbaren Führungsseilen (9) etwa pyramidenförmig ist. Zum anderen ist eine Führungseinrichtung (24) vorgesehen, die mit zwei auseinanderstrebenden Hydraulikzylindern (26,27) und einer horizontalen Traverse (30) ein Dreieck bildet.
