In order to prevent lubricating oil being expelled from the reservoirs on the overhead camshafts in the cylinder heads of internal combustion engines with an oil reservoir located below each cam, the camshaft according to the invention is enclosed by a hood, thereby preventing the formation of oil spray and foamed oil getting into the crank casing. <IMAGE>
Abstract (de)
Um bei oben liegenden Nockenwellen in Zylinderköpfen für Brennkraftmaschinen mit einem unterhalb eines jeden Nockens angeordnetem Ölreservoir das Herumschleudern von Schmieröl aus diesem Reservoir zu vermeiden, wird die Nockenwelle erfindungsgemäß von einer Haube umschlossen, dadurch wird verhindert, daß sich Spritzöl bildet und verschäumtes Öl ins Kurbelgehäuse gelangt.
