The invention relates to a fan with reversible direction of rotation for varying the direction of delivery, in particular for circulating air in timber drying installations, with blades fixed to the fan shaft, each blade having a minimum of two blade carriers extending more or less radially, which together carry one blade face. It is proposed according to the invention that, in order to adapt the blade faces to an ideal air guide or blade profile, the width of the flexible blade face (7) be greater than the respective internal space between the blade carriers (4) or the elastically extendable blade faces (7) be capable of bow-shaped expansion whilst rotating due to the air pressure so that the blade face (7) can move or bulge unhindered from one side to the other side of a plane defined by the two blade carriers (4) depending on the directions of rotation. <IMAGE>

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Ventilator mit reversibler Drehrichtung zur Förderrichtungsänderung, insbesondere zur Luftumwälzung in Holztrocknungsanlagen, mit an der Ventilatorwelle befestigten Flügeln, von denen jeder Flügel zumindest zwei sich im wesentlichen radial erstreckende Flügelträger besitzt, die gemeinsam eine Flügelfläche tragen. Erfindungsgemäß ist vorgesehen, daß zur Anpassung der Flügelflächen an ein ideales Luftleit- bzw. Flügelprofil die Breite der biegsamen Flügelfläche (7) größer ist als der jeweilige Innenabstand zwischen den Flügelträgern (4) oder die elastisch dehnbaren Flügelflächen (7) während der Drehung durch den Luftdruck bogenförmig ausbauchbar sind, sodaß die Flügelfläche (7) entsprechend den Drehrichtungen von einer Seite zur anderen Seite einer von den beiden Flügelträgern (4) aufgespannten Ebene ungehindert beweglich bzw. ausbauchbar ist.
