Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0284743A2] The safety ski binding has a bearing block (6), which can be swivelled out laterally about a vertical axle (5), a catch link (16), which is loaded by a triggering spring, interacts with a catch projection fixed to the bearing block and acts in the vertical direction counter to a swivel movement of a sole holder mounted on the bearing block (6), and a blocking element (50) which stops a lateral swivelling out of the bearing block (6) in relation to the baseplate (4) and is actuated by a control zone (42) which is fixed to the catch link. The blocking element (50) bears spring elements (53a, 53b), via which the blocking element (50) can be indirectly actuated by the control zone (42) counter to the load brought about by the spring device (54a, 54b). The counter-catch (51) for the blocking element (50) has lateral contact surfaces (51a, 51b), each of which holds the blocking element (50) in an engaged position when the binding is closed with the sole holder loaded laterally until a certain compression of the spring elements (53a, 53b) is reached. <IMAGE>
