Known interconnections of this type, namely triple function interconnections have the disadvantage that they have to be operated manually twice to lock the containers. This involves a great deal of work and sometimes entails considerable risks. The new interconnection is intended to allow rapid and largely automatic locking. To avoid the particularly dangerous (second) locking operation of the interconnection between containers placed one on top of the other, automatic locking takes place in the interconnection according to the invention when one container has been placed on top of another. The interconnections can be used wherever several stackable large containers are to be connected to one another, in particular on ships. <IMAGE>

Das Koppelstück (20) soll eine rasche, weitestgehend automatisierte Verriegelung ermöglichen. Der im verriegelnden Sinne federvorgespannte Verriegelungsbolzen (21) verdreht die Querriegel (35, 36) in die Verriegelungsstellung nach dem Einsetzen in den jeweiligen Eckbeschlag (26, 27).
