One-man operation of large and heavy flaps is achieved, while preventing inadvertent releasing of the locked open position of the flap, by the flap being connected to the cabinet body on a side at right angles to the hinge axis, by means of a releasing flap support, which, on opening of the flap, automatically moves to a locking position and, when the flap is moved above the open position, automatically releases the locked position, and by the opposite side of the flap being connected to the cabinet body by means of a locking flap support which automatically moves to a locking position when the flap is opened, can be released from the locking position manually and which returns to the locking position automatically when the flap is lifted above the open position. <IMAGE>
