[origin: EP0285479A1] The invention relates to a set, formed from metallic profiles and suitable fasteners, for preparing the walls of buildings. The profiles (1, 1a) have male (2) and female (3) edges which cooperate, these edges being connected to the web (8) of the corresponding profile by flanges (10, 13) which come closer to each other near the web, being further apart on moving away from the web, in order to come into contact by means of the male and female edges, thus forming a highly rigid caisson-type structure. The fasteners (4) are preferably gripped between the two parts of the flanges (10, 13) which are close together and their end (20) is fitted tightly into the male edge (2). <IMAGE>
