[origin: EP0285599A2] The fastening mechanism for a holding device for hole-punched loose-leaf papers has fixed mandrels (2), which are attached to a baseplate (1), and movable mandrels (4) which are anchored on the baseplate (1) by means of a bearing plate, which is held swivellably on said baseplate, and have a curvature, tabs (8) being provided which are bent out of the baseplate (1) and penetrate gaps (9) in the bearing plate (3) with slight clearance for fastening the bearing plate (3). In order to ensure a secure connection of the two plates (1, 3) in such a fastening mechanism despite easy swivellability of the bearing plate (3), provision is made for the baseplate (1) to have a reinforcing rib (5') which extends parallel to the bending axis of the tabs (8) bent out of the baseplate (1) and for the bearing plate (3) to have projections (6) on its end face facing the reinforcing rib (5') of the baseplate (1) which project from said end face and engage with slight clearance in gaps (7) which are arranged in the side wall of the reinforcing rib (5') facing the end face of the bearing plate (3). <IMAGE>
