[origin: EP0285739A1] The rivets (42) have long shanks (41) and are delivered to a rotating drum (43) by a vibrating rail conveyor (40). The rail has a central slot to receive the rivet shank which hangs vertically downwards. The rivets fit in a radial slot (46) in the drum which rotates through 180 deg after receiving the rivet so that the shank extends vertically upwards. The rivet then falls head first out of the drum into the tube (49) which delivers the rivet to the riveting gun.
