Es wird ein Schrauber zum automatischen Anziehen von Schrauben und/oder Muttern mit einer Antriebseinheit, einer Steuereinheit zur Bestimmung der Drehzahl für die Antriebseinheit und mit Mitteln zur Erfassung des Drehmoments und/oder des Drehwinkels und/oder der Schraubtiefe vorgeschlagen, wobei die Steuereinheit eine Vergleichsstelle (3) zur Bildung der Differenz zwischen dem gewünschten Anzugsmoment (Msoll) und dem gemessenen Drehmoment (M), ein Differenzierglied (5) zur Ableitung des Drehmoments nach der Zeit (dM/dt), ein erstes Multiplikationsglied (7) zur Multiplikation der Differenz (Msoll - M) mit dem Kehrwert der Ableitung des Drehmoments und ein zweites Multiplikationsglied (9) zur Multiplikation des Produkts mit einem Parameter zur Bildung der Solldrehzahl für die Antriebseinheit (1,13)aufweist.
