Method for the gas heating of calender rolls by means of a plurality of gas nozzles which are arranged next to one another on a gas-supply pipe extending axis-parallel through the calender roll and which are aligned with the inner face of the calender roll to be heated, the gas-supply pipe which carries the gas nozzles being so set relative to the inner face of the calender roll as a function of the particular flame height that the distance between the gas-supply pipe and the inner face of the calender roll is increased correspondingly when there is a larger flame, and a device for carrying out this method. <IMAGE>

Verfahren zum Gasbeheizen von Kalanderwalzen mittels einer Mehrzahl von nebeneinander auf einem sich achsenparallel durch die Kalanderwalze erstreckenden Gaszufuhrrohr angeordneten, auf die Innenfläche der zu beheizenden Kalanderwalze ausgerichteten Gasdüsen, unter Anstellen des die Gasdüsen tragenden Gaszufuhrrohres relativ zu der Innenfläche der Kalanderwalze in Abhängigkeit von der jeweiligen Flammenhöhe derart, daß der Abstand zwischen dem Gaszufuhrrohr und der Innenfläche der Kalanderwalze bei größerer Flamme entsprechend vergrößert wird, sowie eine Vorrichtung zur Durchführung dieses Verfahrens.
