Abstract (en)

[origin: JPS6425910A] PURPOSE: To manufacture the nonferrous metal powder which is uniform in grain size and fine in excellent yield by treating the nonferrous metal oxide, etc., of the prescribed concentration in the aqueous medium of the prescribed pH and temperature. CONSTITUTION: The oxide or hydroxide of the nonferrous metal of 20-400 g/l (calculated in terms of the metal) in concentration is suspended in the aqueous medium containing the aqueous sugar solution or the starch solution, and treated in the aqueous medium of >3.2 in pH and 20-160 deg.C in temperature range to separate the precipitated nonferrous metallic powder where little oxide is present. Cu, Ag, Ni, Co, Sn, Pb, Sb, As or Bi is preferably used for the nonferrous metal. The grain size of the powder is preferably regulated to be approximately 0.1-30 μm by changing the pH value at which the grain size is reduced as the pH value is increased in a range of 2<pH<=14.
