[origin: EP0286579A2] In a conveyor installation (1) with a running gear (2) guided on rails (11), the said running gear is equipped with carrying devices (3) for suspended loads and with means (4) for releasing and for ejecting the loads. In particular, such systems serve for conveying and processing mailbags. In order to provide a conveying system which is "intelligent" with respect to the selection of the ejection points and which permits the paths to be traversed by the running gear to be optimised, the running gear is constructed as units which can be driven individually and independently of one another in the manner of electric suspended railway running gear and the release and ejection means of the carrying devices can be triggered by means of electrical pulses.
