Abstract (en)
The protective head cover consists of a head ring (1), extending over the forehead, temples and back of the head, and of two crossover safety straps (2, 3) extending over the head. In order to improve a protective head cover of this type and, in particular, to achieve a protection of the fontanel which is at particular risk in babies and small children, one of the safety straps (2) extends from one ear to the other and the other safety strap (3) extends from the forehead to the back of the head in order to protect the skull and the fontanel.

Ein Kopfschutz für Babys und Kleinkinder besteht aus einem über Stirn, Schläfen und Hinterkopf verlaufenden Kopfring (1) und aus zwei über den Kopf verlaufenden, sich kreuzenden Sicherheitsbändern (2, 3). Um einen derartigen Kopfschutz zu verbessern und insbesondere einen Schutz der bei Babys und Kleinkinders besonders gefährdeten Fontanelle zu erreichen, verläuft das eine der Sicherheitsbänder (2) von einem Ohr zum anderen und verläuft das andere Sicherheitsband (3) von der Stirn zum Hinterkopf, um die Schädeldecke und die Fontanelle zu schützen.
