Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0286848A2] A manufacturing process is described for phosphor screens (2) for e.g. colour picture tubes. In this case, a printing device is used with heated clichés (3M, 3R, 3G, 3B) and tampon coatings 4. The printing pastes (DR, DG, DB) consist of a mixture of a hot-melting adhesive and the respective phosphor materials. It is provided that the printing pastes are printed directly from the clichés onto the inner side of the front plate 1 of the colour picture tube. It is also possible to print a black matrix M, of a ceramic glass paint, in advance. <IMAGE>
