Abstract (en)
The combing cylinder (1) for a combing machine has a combing segment (3) which is attached to the cylinder body (2) and has an aerofoil shape. Between the inner surface (8) of the combing segment (3) and the shell surface (9) of the cylinder body there is disposed an air duct (11). The interaction of the aerofoil shape of the combing segment (3) and the air duct (11) produces a suction effect which ensures that the teeth (6) of the combing segment (3) get an early grip on any fibre tuft (13) to be combed out. <IMAGE>

Der Kämmzylinder (1) für eine Kämmaschine weist ein am Zylinderkörper (2) befestigtes Kämmsegment (3) mit Tragflügelprofil auf. Zwischen der Innenfläche (8) des Kämmsegmentes (3) und der Mantelfläche (9) des Zylinderkörpers ist ein Luftkanal (11) angeordnet. Durch das Zusammenwirken des Tragflügelprofils des Kämmsegmentes (3) mit dem Luftkanal (11) entsteht eine Saugwirkung, die das frühe Erfassen eines auszukämmenden Faserbartes (13) durch die Zähne (6) des Kämmsegmentes (3) sichert.
