Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0287184A2] The fixing element, produced by injection moulding, is for fixing panes of glass in window frames or door frames. The strip-like body of the said element consists of a mixture of plastic and filler and its surface facing the pane of glass is provided with grooves running transversely to its longitudinal direction. To make this fixing element more pliable and more able to bear loads than the known injection-moulded fixing elements, its mixture of plastic and filler is composed of polypropylene or polyethylene and at least 15% wood flour.
