[origin: WO8802246A2] Method and means to remove, implant, attach and otherwise fit or adjust bone-related articles such as surgical implants, rods, nails, prosthetic and similar devices, dental restorations, and the like, without destruction of or damage to the recipient bone or composite, using a series or train of force pulses to move the article incrementally with relation to the recipient bone or composite. The waveshape of the force pulses is designed, in some cases, to oscillate the article relative to the recipient bone structure, to produce microfractures at the interface between the article and the bone or composite. A hand-held pneumatic tool is shown for providing the force pulses. The tool and method may be used for non-surgical applications such as to remove construction nails, plastic shafts, bearing races and other objects.

Procédé et dispositif permettant d'extraire, implanter, fixer ou adapter des dispositifs relatifs aux os, tels que des implants chirurgicaux, des tiges, des clous, des dispositifs prothétiques et similaires, des implants de reconstruction dentaire et similaires, sans détruire ou endommager l'os concerné ou le composite, par l'utilisation d'une série ou train d'impulsions de force servant à dégager l'article par incréments par rapport à l'os concerné ou composite. La forme d'onde des impulsions de force est destinée, dans certains cas, à faire osciller l'article par rapport à la structure osseuse, afin de produire des microfractures au niveau de l'interface entre l'article et l'os ou le composite. Un outil pneumatique que l'on tient dans la main produit les impulsions de force. L'outil et le procédé peuvent être utilisés dans des applications non chirurgicales, comme par exemple pour extraire des clous dans la construction, des arbres en plastique, des bagues de roulements et autres objets.
