In the depilating device, the clamping device for the removal of hairs consists of a tweezer block (32) with about 10 to 60 parallel slats which can be spread apart by a drive apparatus (13) to oscillate periodically at a frequency of about 2000 to 15000 min<-><1> and can be braced against one another after the intake of hairs. The tweezer block (32) is also moved by the drive apparatus (13) back and forth between a clamping position, which lies near to a support apparatus, and the spread apart position which is remote from said support apparatus. In this case, a superimposed, oscillating swivel movement of the tweezer block (32) takes place about an axis which extends perpendicular to the axis of symmetry of the tweezer block (32) and parallel to the spreading direction of the slats. By this means, an assumed point on the free end of the slats executes a movement, the path of which extends approximately on a rectangle. By this means, the hairs are taken in more easily prior to removal and then knocked out. The arrangement is accommodated with the support apparatus in a handy housing. <IMAGE>

Bei einer Enthaarungsvorrichtung besteht die Klemmvorrichtung zum Ausreißen von Haaren aus einem Pinzettenblock (32) mit etwa 10 bis 60 parallelen Lamellen, die durch eine Antriebseinrichtung (13) mit einer Frequenz von etwa 2000 bis 15000 min<->¹ periodisch oszillierend spreizbar und nach dem Einzug von Haaren gegeneinander verspannbar sind. Durch die Antriebseinrichtung (13) wird der Pinzettenblock (32) außerdem zwischen einer Klemmstellung, die in der Nähe einer Abstützeinrichtung liegt, und der davon entfernten Spreizstellung hin und her bewegt. Bevorzugt findet dabei eine überlagerte, oszillierende Schwenkbewegung des Pinzettenblocks (32) um eine Achse statt, die zur Symmetrieachse des Pinzettenblocks (32) senkrecht und zur Spreizrichtung der Lamellen parallel verläuft. Dadurch führt ein angenommener Punkt auf dem freien Ende der Lamellen eine Bewegung aus, deren Bahn in etwa auf einem Rechteck verläuft. Hierdurch werden die Haare vor dem Ausreißen leichter eingezogen und danach ausgeklopft. Die Anordnung ist mit der Abstützeinrichtung in einem handlichen Gehäuse untergebracht.
