The ridge cap (4) is provided, on its underside (16) facing the ridge beam (2), with spacers, such as knobs or blocks (17), at intervals and is, in cross- section, a downwardly open rectangular profile with lateral flanks (29) which keep the distance from the sides (28) of the ridge beam (2).
