[origin: EP0288027A1] In a continuously operating ink jet print head with a jet producer (2), a jet deflector unit (10) and a receiver tube (20), arranged in the nozzle axis (4), for receiving the undeflected ink jet, the receiver tube (20) is to be attached to a support (21) guided parallel to the nozzle axis (4) and capable of being moved by means of a drive (24, 25) so as to be traversable along the nozzle axis (4) between a working position and a resting position, in which it tightly encloses the mouth region of the jet nozzle (3). In this respect, at least parts of the jet deflector unit (10) are mounted so as to be able to move across the nozzle axis (4). These parts of the jet deflector unit (10) are now to be forcibly coupled to the movable support (21) in order to keep free the movement track of the receiver tube (20) and/or of the support (21). <IMAGE>
