Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0288066A2] A refuse receptacle (1) comprises a bin-shaped trough (2) having an essentially rectangular cross-section which tapers towards the base (8). A hinged lid (3) is coupled to the rear edge of the trough (2). In the front region of the opening edge there is provided a receiving means for a gripping claw of a lifting and tipping device. A pair of coaxial running wheels (6) is arranged off-centre in the base region. So that a refuse receptacle of this type can also be stacked in its completely assembled state, the receptacle base (8) merges, via a bevelled wall part (37), into the rear wall (36) of the receptacle. Provided in the lateral regions of the bevelled wall part (37) or of the receptacle base (8) are drawn-in wheel cases in which running wheels (6) are mounted on a continuous axle or on mutually aligned axle journals which are inserted in mountings, in such a way that said wheels are situated inside the imaginary receptacle contour which is extended beyond the bevelled wall part and the wheel cases. <IMAGE>
