Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0288086A2] Method for the reverse drawing of bars (11) so as to obtain a first segment of drawn bar (11) long enough for anchorage to a draw carriage (31), the method including the following steps: - a pointed segment (12) is created on the bar (11), - this pointed segment (12) is threaded through a die plate (13) and clamped by a first gripper (14) secured to a base (24) of a drawbench, - the die plate (13) is moved backwards, thus drawing a required length with the bar (11) stationary, - the bar (11) is then released from the first gripper (14) and is moved forwards together with the die plate (13) until the die plate (13) reaches a starting position coinciding with the normal drawing position, and at least part of the segment thus reverse drawn cooperates firmly with the first draw carriage (31). Device for the reverse drawing of bars (11) which is suitable to obtain the above method and comprises in cooperation: - a die plate (13) able to move axially from a normal drawing position to an end position of reverse drawing at a required distance, - a first gripper (14) solidly fixed to a base (24) and positioned immediately downstream of a die plate (13), - a possible second gripper (15) for advancing the bar (11) during the step of repositioning the die plate (13).
