Abstract (en)
A uniform sheet (1) of prescutched flax is crushed after making the fibres parallel while removing impurities, by being passed through a succession of pressing means, for example seven pairs (5, 10) of smooth rolls exerting, transversely to the sheet, a pressure of between 140 and 1100 N per centimetre of sheet. The crushing is such that it disintegrates certain cements without damaging the unit fibres. <IMAGE>

L'invention consiste à écraser une nappe régulière (1) de lin préalablement teillé, après parallélisation des fibres en élimination des impuretés , en la faisant passer dans une succession de moyens de pression , par exemple sept paires (5, 10) de cylindres lisses exerçant, transversalement à la nappe une pression comprise entre 140 et 1100 N au centimètre de nappe. L'écrasement est tel qu'il désagrège certains ciments sans endommager les fibres unitaires.
