Abstract (en)
Crossmember for a loom heald frame, comprising two edge zones (1, 2) separated from one another by a middle zone (3), one of the edge zones (1) being reinforced in the longitudinal direction of the crossmember by a material containing a fibre reinforcement, the other edge zone (2) carrying a heald attachment bar (5) and, if appropriate, possessing at least one slot (9). When the middle zone (3) forms a whole with said other edge zone (2) and is therefore at least partially of the same metal as at least part of this other edge zone (2), this middle zone (3) comprises a plate (6) or a metal structure (6), whereas, when the middle zone (3) consists of a piece separate from this other edge zone and is fastened to the latter by adhesive bonding or moulding, this middle zone (3) is essentially formed from a fibre-reinforced material. <IMAGE>
