Provided for a vacuum cleaner with a suction tube is a rotary coupling with a connection nozzle (8) of the suction tube and a connection sleeve (5) provided in the equipment housing. The connection nozzle (8) is inserted rotatably in the connection sleeve (5), at least one electrical slip ring surface (9) being arranged on the connection nozzle (8) and at least one counter-contact (7) being arranged on the connection sleeve (5). In order to achieve a simple construction, the slip ring surface (9) is arranged on the outside shell surface of the connection nozzle (8) and the counter-contact (7) on the inside shell surface (6) of the connection sleeve (5). The axis of the connection sleeve (5) or of the connection nozzle (8) is directed upwards at an acute angle in the operating position and in the main direction (4) of movement of the equipment housing. <IMAGE>

Für einen Staubsauger mit einem Saugschlauch ist eine Drehkupplung mit einem Anschlußstutzen (8) des Saugschlauches und einer im Gerätegehäuse vorgesehenen Anschlußhülse (5) vorgesehen. Der Anschlußstutzen (8) ist drehbar in die Anschlußhülse (5) einsetzbar, wobei am Anschlußstutzen (8) wenigstens eine elektrische Schleifringfläche (9) und an der Anschlußhülse (5) wenigstens ein Gegenkontakt (7) angeordnet ist. Um einen einfachen Aufbau zu erreichen, ist die Schliefringfläche (9) auf der außenliegenden Mantelfläche des Anschlußstutzens (8) und der Gegenkontakt (7) an der inneliegenden Mantelfläche (6) der Anschlußhülse (5) angeordnet. Die Achse der Anschlußhülse (5) bzw. des Anschlußstutzens (8) ist in der Betriebslage und in der Hauptbewegungsrichtung (4) des Gerätegehäuses unter einem spitzen Winkel nach oben gerichtet.
