Es wird eine Presse, insbesondere zum Herstellen maßhaltiger Preßlinge aus pulverförmigen Werkstoffen, beschrieben. Sie hat ein Pressengestell 3, in dem ein Pressenrahmen 5 und ein Pressentisch 4 als Haupt- und Leitachse vorgesehen sind, die durch einen mechanischen Antrieb, vornehmlich einen Kniehebelantrieb 6, bewegungsschlüssig miteinander gekoppelt sind und einen Haupt-Pressenstößel bilden. In den Haupt-Pressenstößel ist zwischen Pressenrahmen 5 und Pressentisch 4 ein hydraulischer Pressenteil l2 mit mindestens einer zusätzlichen Preßachse, vorzugsweise jedoch mehreren zusätzlichen Preßachsen, einsetzbar. Die Arbeitsbewegung jeder Preßachse des hydraulischen Pressenteils l2 ist dabei weg- und zeitabhängig von der Arbeitsbewegung der aus Pressenrahmen 5 und Pressentisch 4 bestehenden Haupt- und Leitachse des mechanischen Pressenteils - Kniehebelpresse 2 - über ein Koppelsystem 22 bis 33 steuer- und regelbar.
