The invention relates to a foil-wrapping machine comprising a track which has a plurality of curved deflection portions (A) and forms a continuous annular circuit around the package (5) or the like to be enveloped, and a trolley passing over said track which forms the carrier (18) for the foil-supply rolls and has a foil take-off station (37). For the purpose of enveloping a package with a substantially uniform take-off tension, the invention proposes that the carrier (18) with its foil take-off station (37) be arranged on the inside of the track and swivel about the mid-point (M) of the curved deflection portion (A) when the trolley passes through the curved deflection portions (A). <IMAGE>

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Folienwickelmaschine mit einer das zu umwickelnde Packstück (5) oder dergleichen ringsgeschlossen umgebenden, mehrere bogenförmige Umlenkabschnitte (A) besitzenden Bahn und einem diese durchlaufenden Wagen als Folienvorratsrollen-Träger (18) mit Folienabzugstelle, (37) und schlägt zwecks Umwickelns eines Packstückes mit weitgehend gleichbleibender Abzugsspannung vor, daß der Träger (18) mit seiner Folienabzugsstelle (37) bahninnenseitig angeordnet ist und beim Durchlauf des Wagens durch die bogenförmigen Umlenkabschnitte (A) um den Mittelpunkt (M) der bogenförmigen Umlenkabschnittes (A) schwenkt.
