Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0289825A2] In known connecting arrangements for erecting scaffoldings, a wedge must be inserted in the support provided on a horizontal column in order to attach the horizontal beams of the scaffolding. For this reason, two people are required to put up and take down scaffolding. The new connecting arrangement for erecting scaffoldings is to enable scaffolding to be put up and taken down by only one person. In the new connecting arrangement, the support is constructed in the shape of a dish with a peripheral raised edge, against the inner side of which the wedge can be laid. The head of the beam contains a nose, by which the beam in question is to be attached to the edge of the support. This new connecting arrangement ensures that the horizontal beam is situated approximately in the horizontal position even when it is only attached by one end. Consequently, it is possible, when putting up the scaffolding, for one person first to attach the beam to the support and then to fix the wedge in position. <IMAGE>
