For the electroless, chemically reductive deposition of ternary alloys containing nickel and phosphorus from aqueous solutions containing nickel ions and sodium hypophosphite or other reducing agents in the presence of organic compounds, metallic or non-metallic materials are, after appropriate pretreatment, immersed for deposition of ternary Ni-W-P alloys at a pH in the range from 4.5 to 9.5 into an aqueous solution which contains nickel ions, tungstate ions and sodium hypophosphite or other reducing agents and, if necessary, buffer substances or, for depositing ternary Ni-Co-P alloys at a pH in the range from 4.5 to 9.5 into an aqueous solution which contains nickel ions, cobalt ions and sodium hypophosphite or other reducing agents and, if appropriate, buffer substances, in addition organic carboxylic acids as complexing agents, stabilisers and accelerators and, if appropriate, also organic carboxylic acids or 8-hydroxyquinoline as a wetting agent and brightener are added to the particular aqueous solutions, and the materials are then heat-treated if necessary.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur außenstromlosen, chemisch reduktiven Abscheidung von ternären, Nickel und Phosphor enthaltenden Legierungen aus wässrigen, Nickelionen und Natriumhypophosphit oder andere Reduktionsmittel enthaltenden wäßrigen Lösungen in Gegenwart organischer Verbindungen, das dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, daß man metallische oder nichtmetallische Materialien nach entsprechender Vorbehandlung zur Abscheidung ternärer Ni-W-P-Legierungen bei einem pH-Wert im Bereich von 4,5 bis 9,5 in eine wäßrige Lösung taucht, die Nickelionen, Wolframationen und Natriumhypophosphit oder andere Reduktionsmittel und gegebenenfalls Puffersubstanzen enthält, oder zur Abscheidung ternärer Ni-Co-P-Legierungen bei einem pH-Wert im Bereich von 4,5 bis 9,5 in eine wäßrige Lösung taucht, die Nickelionen, Cobaltionen und Natriumhypophosphit oder andere Reduktionsmittel und gegebenenfalls Puffersubstanzen enthält, den jeweiligen wäßrigen Lösungen zusätzlich organische Carbonsäuren als Komplexbildner, Stabilisatoren und Beschleuniger und gegebenenfalls auch organische Carbonsäuren oder 8-Hydroxychinolin als Netzmittel und Glanzbildner zusetzt, und die Materialien gegebenenfalls anschließend wärmebehandelt.
