Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0289843A1] The safety ski binding has an electronically controlled release device which has an evaluation circuit, processing the signals of power pickups corresponding to the acting forces, and a release member which can be released by said evaluation circuit by means of a release pulse. A release spring is provided which is supported on the one hand against a catch path, which is arranged on a holding-down device of a jaw which can be released and engaged and is movable between two end positions, and on the other hand on an abutment, controlled by the release member, or on the latter itself. In order to cause the disengagement with particularly low forces to be applied by the release member, provision is made for a second spring (51), which acts in the same direction as the release spring (19), to be supported with its one end on the catch path (18) and for the second spring (51) to be supported with its other end on a further abutment (52) which is preferably fixed, the free path of the abutment (50) being sufficient in the case of release of the safety ski binding to bring about an essentially complete relief of the release spring (19). <IMAGE>
