Bei einem Rost zur Bildung von Laufmatten oder Fußabstreifern sind mit Borstenmaterial 21 versehene Einsatzstreifen 17 bzw. 17'' vorgesehen, die mit Längsstäben 2 in Verbindung stehen bzw. kuppelbar sind. Sie haben einen leistenförmigen Grundkörper 22 mit in Querschnittsrichtung abgestufter Oberseite. Die Borstenmaterial-Reihen 21' und/oder Borstenmaterial-Bündel stehen dabei über die Oberseite sämtlicher Stufen 23', 23'' und 24', 24'' des Grundkörpers 22 mit wenigstens annähernd gleicher, freier Länge vor, um die Reinigungswirkung am Schuhwerk mit Profilsohlen zu optimieren.
