Verfahren zum Betrieb einer Trocknungsanlage für Schüttgüter, bestehend aus Feuerungseinheit (2), Trockner, beispielsweise Trommeltrockner (3), Zyklonen (5), Entstaubungsanlage (6), Ventilator (4), Verbindungsrohrleitungen zwischen den Anlagenteilen und meß- und regeltechnischen Einrichtungen zum kontinuierlichen Betrieb der Trocknungsanlage, wobei zwischen Feuerungseinheit (2) und Trockner (3) ein weiterer Ventilator (1) integriert wird, sodaß der Trockner (3) bei atmosphärischem Druck betrieben wird.
