Abstract (en)
The present invention relates to a concentric multi-layer flexible screening sheath for an electrical cable (20), especially for protection against low-frequency electromagnetic radiation. It comprises, between two insulating layers (2-4, 9-10), a screen (5-8) having a high magnetic permeability coefficient formed by at least one band of nickel-iron alloy having a crystalline structure such as mu-metal (6), or from a boron-nickel-iron alloy having an amorphous structure, which band is placed between two metallic braids (5, 8) having low electrical resistivity and high coverage, for example made of tinned copper.
