[origin: US4899788A] The arrangement for removing a faulty weft yarn from a shed comprises a manipulator for physically moving a yarn clamp carrier between a rest position and a yarn clamping position for engaging a weft yarn. A needle is provided on the carrier for releasing the weft yarn from the beat-up line of the cloth for delivery into the yarn clamp. A rotatable storage drum at a yarn release position winds on yarn from the yarn clamp for subsequent delivery to a suction tube for removal.
