Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0290782A1] In order to be able to realise, in particular in trams, a floor of low constructional height even in the region of the bogies, a centre cross carrier (1a) of the bogie frame (1) is lowered down to the rail upper edge (S.O.) to such an extent that there is a free space between the said carrier (1a) and the lower edge of a carriage-side, low-lying centre aisle (4c). This free space is penetrated in the case of a first design (Fig. 1A) of the main cross carrier (4a) of the carriage body (4), in which case a ball-type steering ring (3) is provided between the main cross carrier (4) and the bogie frame (1). In a second design (Fig. 1B), the free space serves essentially for the arrangement and the deflections of a longitudinal connecting link (5) which engages on the bogie frame (1) and on the carriage body; on each longitudinal side a pneumatic spring (2) is arranged between the frame (1) and the upper internal wall of the main cross carrier (4a) which is hat-shaped in the second design. <IMAGE>
