[origin: US4823935A] A feeder for an eccentric-worm pump of the type in which breaker shafts with paddles cast bulk material to a feeder worm in a funnel-shaped housing is connected to the eccentric worm pump. To increase the efficiency of the feeder, the paddles are inclined in accordance with the pitch of the feeder worm relative to the axes of the respective breaker shafts so that the material cast by the paddles is directed substantially tangentially to the helical rib of the feeder worm.
