[origin: EP0290935A1] The watch case (1) is attached to a support (2) by means of a device permitting detachment, as required, of the case from its support. <??>To this end, the case comprises a projection (3) in the form of a bracket whose upright (4) is fastened to the case and whose crosspiece (5) is hollowed out with a spherical housing (6) extended by two holes (9, 10) whose diameters are chosen smaller than the diameter of the spherical housing. The front face (11) of the crosspiece is provided with a slot (12). The support (2) is equipped with a rod (13) ending in a ball and socket joint (14). The ball and socket joint is dimensioned in order to be forcibly inserted into the spherical housing and to then move freely therein with a slight play. <??>The attachment system makes it possible to connect a pocket watch to a chain or, additionally, a watch to a support/display device. <IMAGE>
