Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0291005A2] In tightly curved or horizontally running deep bores, a bore-measuring instrument (18) can only be moved into position by means of a rod. In order to make this possible, a sleeve (1) with a transition socket (3) is attached to the end of the rod, which transition socket (3) carries a guide shoe (2) at the end and accommodates the bore-measuring instrument (18). At its front end, the bore-measuring instrument (18) has an adaptor shoe (16) which can be inserted into a bearing bush (9) in the sleeve (1) and centres the bore-measuring instrument (18), the diameter of which is smaller than the diameter of the sleeve bore, in the sleeve bore. The bore-measuring instrument (18) therefore remains free of deformations to which the sleeve (1) is subject when passing through the deep bore. The sleeve (1) is provided with openings (7) through which the arms (26) of the bore-measuring instrument (18) can be extended. In order to align the arms (26) with the openings (7), orientation means (11, 15, 20, 22) are provided which orientate the adaptor shoe (16) in its angular position relative to the sleeve (1) upon insertion into the bearing bush (9) (Fig. 1). <IMAGE>
