[origin: JPS6419491A] PURPOSE: To guarantee the returning of an article on order to the right customer by reading envelope number from an envelope, printing the envelope number in a mechanically readable form on the first part of the stock of continuous joining tapes, separating the first part from the stock and imparting the first part to a film. CONSTITUTION: A collation location 12 includes a reading device 14 reading a bar code 15 already existing on an envelope E, the reader 14 makes collation numbers adjacent and delivers the numbers to a printer 16 to which a joining tape carrier is mounted, and these numbers can be made to be printed on a part of the joining tape. The part of this joining tape for which the printing is performed is imparted to the film strips which are separated from continuous stock rolls and adjacent to each other and forms the continuous windings of the films (F or R) for processings. After the processings, the number of the envelope and the number of the film strip are read and the correlation determining as to whether the correspondence exists or not is checked. Thus, the delivery of a right article on order to the customer can be guaranteed.
