Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0291284A2] A disposable applicator for coating a receiving surface comprising a substantially smooth, non-absorbent, thin, flexible, film forming a collapsible cover (26), the cover defining a cavity, and having at least one aperture (32). A substantially rigid base (22) is in sealing engagement with the cover (26) so tha the cover (26) and base (22) together form a sealed collapsible pocket containing the substance to be dispensed. The collapsible cover (26) forms the applicator surface by direct contact with the receiving surface. The apertures (32) in the cover serving as means through which the contents of the collapsible pocket can pass out from the collapsible pocket. A substantially rigid handle (24) is attached to the base (22) for transmitting pressure to the contents of the collapsible pocket when the cover is placed against the receiving surface. A protective sealing member (34) is removably attached to the exterior of the flexible cover (26) to overlay the apertures (32) until the sealing member (34) is removed from the cover (26).
