Abstract (en)

Protective device for achieving a permanent wave with a permanent-wave product on a hair solely in the vicinity of the root thereof and for shielding that part of the hair which is not located in the vicinity of the root from the action of the permanent-wave product, the said device comprising a flexible sheet (1) which is impermeable to liquids, a reinforcement zone (2) along a first edge of this sheet, and stop means (3) comprising an absorbent bead or strip along the opposite edge of the sheet, also comprising attachment means (for example located on or forming the reinforcement 2) in order to temporarily and detachably attach the protective device to the hair prior to rolling up the said device and the hair on a roller. <IMAGE>
