Abstract (en)
Cylindrical or conical workpieces of a dia. varying along their length are produced by rolling the workpiece (14) between an outer ring (2) and an inner roller. The inner surface of the ring has circumferential grooves and ridges which are initially of zero depth or height and increase steadily to a max. The grooves and ridges are inclined to the end faces of the ring and correspond to the axial profile of the workpiece. The roller has similar grooves and ridges, but inclined to the roller end face in the opposite direction to the inclination of the ring grooves and ridges so that the two sets of grooves and ridges intersect each other at their points of contact with the workpiece.

Verfahren zur Herstellung von Rotationskörpern mit an ihren beiden Enden unterschiedlichen Durchmessern oder axialen Abschnitten mit unterschiedlichen Durchmessern, bei welchem unter Drehung des Rohlings (9) um seine Längsachse örtlich ein die Fließgrenze des Materials des Rohlings (9) übersteigender Druck zur Verminderung des Durchmessers des Rohlings (9) ausgeübt wird. Um bei einem solchen Verfahren eine einfache Variation der herzustellenden Rotationskörper zu ermöglichen, ist vorgesehen, daß eine gegenüber der axialen Erstreckung des Bereiches mit vermindertem Durchmesser des herzustellenden Rotationskörpers (9<v>) eine kleinere Abmessung in Längsrichtung des Rohlings aufweisende Druckzone in axiale Richtung des Rohlings (9) über diesen während seines Drehens bewegt wird. <IMAGE>
