Abstract (en)
To prepare polyether imide fibres, the granules are brought to a moisture content of below 0.05%, the melt is extruded from holes at a temperature between 300 and 440 DEG C, and the spun fibre is wound up at a speed of up to 2500 m/min. The fibres thus prepared are drawable with a draw ratio of up to 3 : 1 and have been spun-dyed.

Zur Herstellung von Fasern aus Polyätherimid wird das Granulat auf einen Feuchtigkeitsgehalt von unter 0,05% gebracht, die Schmelze bei einer Temperatur zwischen 300 und 440°C aus Düsen extrudiert und die gesponnene Faser mit einer Geschwindigkeit von bis zu 2 500 m/min aufgewickelt. Derartig hergestellte Fasern sind um bis zu 1 : 3 verstreckbar und spinngefärbt.
