Mounted displaceably on a bar (11) are two tubes (12, 15). One of these tubes (12) can be locked along the bar (11). The other tube (15) is penetrated by a threaded spindle (17) which is provided with a handle (16) and is mounted, for its part, so as to be rotatable but axially not displaceable in the other tube (15) and is screwed into a nut element (19) anchored to the bar (11). The two tubes carry clamping jaws (24). In order to adapt the clamping device quickly and simply to the different contours of workpieces to be clamped, the device is assigned a set of at least two clamping jaws (24) which are removably fastened to the tubes (12, 15) in such a way that they are able to rotate or unable to rotate with respect to the tubes (12, 15). <IMAGE>

Auf einem Holm (11) sind zwei Rohre (12, 15) verschiebbar gelagert. Das eine dieser Rohre (12) ist längs des Holmes (11) blockierbar. Das andere Rohr (15) ist von einer mit einer Handhabe (16) versehenen Gewindespindel (17) durchsetzt, die ihrerseits im anderen Rohr (15) drehbar, jedoch axial nicht verschiebbar gelagert ist und in ein am Holm (11) verankertes Mutterstück (19) eingeschraubt ist. Die beiden Rohre tragen Spannbacken (24). Um die Spannvorrichtung schnell und einfach den verschiedenen Konturen von zu spanndenden Werkstücken anzupassen, ist der Vorrichtung ein Satz von mindestens zwei Spannbacken (24) zugeordnet, die entfernbar an den Rohren (12, 15) befestigt sind, und zwar so, dass sie in Bezug auf die Rohre (12, 15) unverdrehbar oder verdrehbar sind.
