[origin: EP0291925A1] An expandable, lost closure plug (10) for boreholes, to be filled with liquid under pressure, for the stabilization of rock in underground mining is provided with an elastic, tubular closure piece (16) which is automatically restrained against the borehole wall due to the liquid pressure, extends between an inlet head (12) and an outlet head (14) and surrounds a rigid distance piece (38) between inlet head (12) and outlet head (14).
