Abstract (en)

The invention relates to a process and a boiler (1) for producing a hot fluid, for example liquid, with a body (4) filled with said fluid arranged above the furnace (8b) and passed through by smoke tubes (7). The boiler comprises a vertical cylindrical casing (8) which forms a reactor passing through the body (4) over its entire height and extending towards the bottom on the outside and below in a lower part (8b) forming a furnace, this casing being surrounded at least partially by the smoke tubes (7) which open, via their opposite ends, into upper (9) and lower (10) smoke boxes respectively. The reactor (8) communicates at the top with a cyclone (14), the dust outlet (15- 17) of which opens into the furnace (8b) while its upper outlet for cleaned smoke is connected to a first compartment (9a) of the upper smoke box (9) which communicates with a first group of smoke tubes which communicates at its lower end by means of the lower smoke box (10) with a second group of smoke tubes opening at the top into a second compartment (9b) of the upper smoke box connected to a pipe (20) for evacuation of the smoke which thus carries out two passages, descending and ascending respectively, through the smoke tubes (7). The invention finds application in small-capacity boilers for industrial or collective heating systems, which burn solid fuels in particular in fluidised beds. <IMAGE>
